Add an encoder

  1. Open Desktop B and select the plus sign in the Encoders panel.
  2. Choose MP3 (Normal) for older SAM releases or MP3 (LAME) for newer releases.
  3. Select the bitrate included with your PurePower plan at 44.1 kHz stereo.
  4. Under Server Details, choose SHOUTcast v1 when your SAM version requires it.
  5. Enter the server address, port, and password supplied by PurePower Streams.
  6. Save, then right-click the encoder and choose Start.

Set up your microphone

  1. Open Voice FX and choose Config.
  2. Set the Voice FX destination to Encoders.
  3. Under Recording Settings, select your microphone as the recording device.
  4. Save and use Press to Talk while watching the input meter.

If audio freezes

Open Config > Audio Mixer Pipeline. Re-select the DirectSound output driver and the correct output device even if they already appear selected, then apply the change. USB audio devices work best when connected to the same USB port before SAM starts.
